2,868 full-time equivalent employees... including many new hires, most of which provided direct service to Veterans and their families
What funds were used?
$4.7 billion: more than 90% of which was paid to Veterans, their families, and other program recipients
Results highlights
  • Rolled-out of the new Education and Training Benefit, Veterans Emergency Fund, Veterans Well-Being Fund and Caregiver Recognition Benefit (paid directly to Veterans’ caregivers)
  • Redesigned Career Transition Services
  • Work completed for the launch of Pension for Life and its new suite of programs
  • Commemorated significant military anniversaries and led delegations overseas to France (Amiens), Belgium (Mons) and Korea (Seoul).
  • Eliminated of the one-year time limit on Vocational Rehabilitation Services
