Sara Lantz is currently the acting Assistant Deputy Minister, Chief Financial Officer and Corporate Services (CFOCS). Sara was born and raised in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, and has over 23 years of experience in delivering and directing best practices in financial and resource management within the federal government.
Sara started her public service career in Ottawa with Environment Canada in 1997 and over the next 20 years worked in several organizations across a diverse set of portfolios, such as Passport Canada, Canadian Heritage, Employment and Social Development Canada, and Natural Resources Canada. She joined Veterans Affairs Canada in 2019 as the Direction General of Finance at Veterans Affairs Canada.
Sara holds a Bachelor of Science from Dalhousie University and a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation from the Province of Ontario.
