Commemorative Partnership Program
Veterans Affairs Canada is committed to honouring those who served Canada in times of war, military conflict and peace, and to keeping the memory of their achievements and sacrifices alive for all Canadians. To support this commitment, the Commemorative Partnership Program (CPP) provides funding to organizations undertaking remembrance initiatives.
This year has been an unprecedented year for significant military milestone anniversaries such as Vimy 100, Dieppe 75 and Passchendaele 100. The Commemorative Partnership Program was able to support more than 150 commemorative projects across the country.
The CPP provides funding for two types of projects:
Community Engagement funding supports commemorative activities (e.g. events) or the development of commemorative resources (e.g. learning materials).
NOTE: Due to the high level of interest, new applications are being accepted for projects or events that begin on or after April 1, 2018. Please review the Program Guidelines for further information when submitting new applications.
Community War Memorial
Community War Memorial funding supports the construction, restoration or expansion of a community war memorial.
NOTE: Due to a high level of interest, applications will not be reviewed in January 2018. New applications are currently being accepted for the April 2018 deadline. Please review the Program Guidelines for further information when submitting new applications.
