His name as it is inscribed on the Vimy Memorial (2010). Over 11,000 fallen Canadians having no known place of burial in France, are honoured on this Memorial. May they never be forgotten. (J. Stephens) -

Newspaper Clipping
Following was caption to George's photo, when published in The Orcadian newspaper in 1917: "Private George Esslemont, third son of the late Mr. George Esslemont, and of Mrs. Esslemont, Millhouse, Sandwick, now serving with the Canadian Expeditionary Force in France". Note name spelling difference. -
Roll of Honour
Canadian National Railways - World War One Roll of Honour. Pte. George Esselmont enlisted in Winnipeg, Manitoba. He described his occupation on his military attestation as a carpenter. Esselmont indicated on his attestation that he had two years previous military experience with the Orkney Volunteers. In honoured memory.
