This photo was taken by my Aunt Gertrude Green and she identified him in the margin of the print. He is the smiling confident young man looking directly at the camera. -
Circumstances of Death Registers
Was only 17 years old at time of death. his 18th birthday would have been on September 28, 1916. He was killed on the 15th. "Previously reported Missing, now reported Killed in Action." From information available, this officer was killed by enemy shell fire while leading his men over the parapet in an attack. -

ADANAC MILITARY CEMETERY Somme, France
Miraumont is a village about 14.5 kilometres north-north-east of Albert and the Cemetery is some 3 kilometres south of the village on the east side of the road to Courcelette (D107). The ADANAC MILITARY CEMETERY is signposted in the centre of Miraumont.
