Location:

Amersfoort is a town lying 50 kilometres south-east of Amsterdam, and 22 kilometres north-east of Utrecht. The Amersfoort (Oud Leusden) General Cemetery is about 2.5 kilometres from the railway station, in an area known as Oud Leusden. The graves are in a special plot, well sited among trees.

Halifax aircraft MZ297 piloted by P/O Earl Dwyer failed to return from a mission to Sterkrade germany on 16/17 June 1944. All were killed.
