  • Photo of LUIS PEREZ GOMEZ– Luis Perez Gomez with his comrades of the 127 sqd or No. 2 S.F.T.S., c. December 1943 or January 1944. I downloaded this photo from a logbook in https://443squadron.files.wordpress.com. It is my understanding it was posted as a homage to the members of the 443 RCAF Squadron with the intention of being shared. I also understand that the original poster, a member of the squadron, passed away.
  • Photo of Luis Perez-Gomez– Pilot Officer Luis Perez-Gomez, 26 April 1944. He was the only Mexican national to serve and die in the Royal Canadian Air Force. Perez-Gomez was one of four Spitfire Mk.-IXBs, Blue Section of 443 "Hornet" Squadron RCAF, which were lost after an aerial battle against several German Fw-190 fighters near the French town of Sassy, Calvados, south of Caen. Only one pilot, Flight Lieutenant Donald M. Walz survived. Photo from Air Force magazine, Vol 21, No. 1, Spring 1997
