P/O Colfe was the only Canadian crew member of Wellington X9910.  
Airborne 1931 29Sep41 from Marham. Shot down by a night-fighter and crashed 2252 at Blijham (Groningen), 5 km SE of Winschoten, Holland. The five airmen killed were:  Sgt A.R.Hulls KIA Sgt J.H.Goodey RAAF KIA P/O W.K.Colfe RCAF KIA Sgt T.D.Griffiths KIA Sgt T.W.Bull KIA P/O N.R.Shuttleworth PoW
