  • Photo of Peter William Merrick– Peter Merrick was born in London and raised by his grandmother, Mrs. Jane Morrison of 27 Elm Street. He attended Alexander Public School and Central Collegiate. He joined the RCAF on July 19, 1942 in London and went on course at Jarvis Bombing and Gunnery School. He graduated from the #4 Air Observers School, London and was commissioned. He was on his tenth operation as a member of a Lancaster crew of #419 Moose Squadron on a night mission to bomb a target south of Caen.
