Son of Reginald Eric Snedden and Gena Frye, of Toronto, Ontario.

Enrolled with the Royal Regiment of Canada, he was deployed to the 1st Battalion, Royal Rifles of Canada, on 18 October 1941. He served in Ontario, in Hong Kong with Force C and in Japan as prisoner of war. He had 961 days of service, including 834 overseas.

Location:

YOKOHAMA WAR CEMETERY is 9 kilometres west of the city on Yuenchi-Dori, Hodogaya Ward, which branches left off the old Tokkaido highway. The nearest railway station is Hodogaya, 5 kilometres to the north on the JNR line but the cemetery is easily reached by bus from Yokohama station.
