Son of Lauchlan Campbell and Mary Roger Thow, of Toronto, Ontario. Brother of Gordon Angus Campbell, service number B-21049, of the 3rd Medium Battery, 1st Medium Regiment, Royal Canadian Artillery; and of Donald John Campbell, service number B-76214, H.2 Transport, Toronto Scottish Regiment, who served in Europe during the Second World War; they survived the war.

Keith Lauchlan served in Canada and in England. He had 537 days of service, including 192 overseas.
