  • War Diary– 1918 'Agenda Bijou' belonging to Lt. D.M. Christie who enlisted in the infantry but transferred to the RFC during the war so that he could pursue flying; the pocket diary tracks much of his flight experience including his recovery from wounds sustained when shot down over Bapaume, France, his three month convalescence in Canada and his return to service in England as well as his aspirations for teaching flying in Canada following the war. Photograph of Lt. Donald Murdoch Christie of the Royal Flying Corps who survived the Great War as a pilot but died of the Spanish Flu in February 1919 before being demobilized. Medals from both Lt. D.M. Christie and Sgt. H.F. Christie, D.C.M., brothers who gave their lives in the Great War, shown resting on the pages of Lt. D.M. Christie's book of hand-written field notes and diagrams that details his training on flight, bombs, artillery and other subjects. Montage of Lt. D.M.
