225th Battn. C.E.F. He was born in the town of Salcombe in Devon England on
Jan. 11th 1867. Husband of Rose Jean Luscombe of 346 West 5th Avenue,
Vancouver. John enlisted into the C.E.F. at Vancouver BC on Feb. 19th 1916.
He listed prior military service of 15 years in the Royal Naval Reserve, he
listed his occupation as "Teamster" He died of illness related to his service on March 29th 1919 at the age of 52. He was laid to rest in the Mountain View cemetery of Vancouver BC.
