Baptized Joseph-Honoré-Adélard Cabana, but he went by the first name “Henri” instead of Honoré. Son of Louis Cabana (deceased in 1911) and Domithilde Desnoyers (deceased in 1894), of Beloeil, Québec. Henri married to Mathilde Labelle (from Montréal) in 1903 and she died in 1913. They had three sons and a daughter. He named his brother Louis, of Montréal, as next of kin, heir and tutor of his sons.

The birth year inscribed in his Attestation paper is 1888, which is wrong by five years, but correctly inscribed 1883 elsewhere in his military file.

Commemorated on Page 62 of the First World War Book of Remembrance. Request a copy of this page. Download high resolution copy of this page.
