Circumstances of Death Registers
Died - Whist attempting to jump on a train as it passed out of No. 1 Platform, DUREN STATION, at 2.41 a.m. on January 21st, 1919, he fell beneath the train and was seriously injured. He was conveyed to No. 17 Casualty Clearing Station, DUREN, where he died the same day from compound fractures of thighs, right leg, and left ankle.
