Son of Archibald Joseph and Mary Agnes MacDonell of Ottawa, Ontario. Husband of Edith Beatrice MacDonell and father of Gary Alexander, Malcolm John and Brian Joseph of Ottawa, Ontario. Brother of Vincent Archibald, Joseph Sanford, Peter Ormond, Patrick Kenneth, George Orville and Mary Edna. A Memorial erected by the Korean Veterans Association, National Capital Unit, commemorating the 516 Canadians who died in the Korean War will be unveiled and rededicated during Veterans Week 2003 at Ottawa City Hall Headquarters on Elgin Street.

  • Memorial– A section of the Korea Veterans National Wall of Remembrance in Meadowvale Cemetery, Brampton, Ontario. The memorial consists of a central section and 13 other sections containing memorial plaques for each of the 516 Canadian service men who died while serving with the Canadian Forces in the United Nations operations in Korea. It was erected by the Korea Veterans Association of Canada and was dedicated on July 27, 1997.
