Newspaper Clipping – This is a newspaper clipping with picture of Daniel "Danny" Wellington. He served with his brother Lawrence in Korea. Danny was killed three weeks before he was due to come home. Danny also lost a brother in WWII. Newspaper caption: Killed in Action - Pte Daniel Wellington (left), Son of John and Elizabeth Wellington of 444 Arlington Avenue, had been killed in action in Korea, the army has reported. With him in the picture is his brother, Lawrence who also served in Korea. A third brother, Sgt W. O Wellington, a Korea veteran, is now at Camp Borden. Another brother, John was killed in the Italy in the Second World War.

Photo of Daniel Melvin Wellington – This is a picture of Lawrence "Lonnie" (Left) and Daniel "Danny" (right) Wellington. This picture was taken while the two brothers were serving in Korea. Lonnie made it home but Danny was killed three weeks before he was due to come home near the end of the war.

Photo of Daniel Wellington – The picture is of Pte Wellington (left) and my father, Pte Garry Garfield Duchene (right). They were friends in Korea. My father passed away on December 31st, 1989. I was born in 1981 and my parents named me after Pte Wellington. They named me Daniel Garfield Duchene.

Grave marker – Picture of Pte Wellington's grave marker. The picture was taken by my father, Pte Garry Garfield Duchene, when they visited the cemetery after the War before being shipped home to Canada.

National Capital Region Korean War Monument – National Capital Region Korean War Monument, Ottawa, Ontario

Inscription – Private DANIEL MELVIN WELLINGTON is one of 21 soldiers whose names appear on this monument IN MEMORY OF THE CANADIANS WHO ENLISTED IN THE NATIONAL CAPITAL REGION AND MADE THE SUPREME SACRIFICE FOR THEIR COUNTRY 1950-1953 THE WAR IN KOREA, erected by the National Capital Unit of the Korea Veterans Association of Canada and the City of Ottawa. His brother Private JOHN GERALD PATRICK WELLINGTON died on December 22, 1944 at the age of 19 while serving in Italy with the Hastings and Prince Edward Regiment, R.C.I.C. and is buried in the ARGENTA GAP WAR CEMETERY in Italy.

Memorial – A section of the Korean Veterans National Wall of Remembrance in Meadowvale Cemetery, Brampton, Ontario. The memorial consists of a central section and 13 other sections containing memorial plaques for each of the 516 Canadian service men who died while serving with the Canadian Forces in the United Nations operations in Korea. It was erected by the Korea Veterans Association of Canada and was dedicated on July 27, 1997.
