  • Photo of Jefferson Francis– Captain Jefferson Francis of 1 Royal Canadian Horse Artillery(1 RCHA), was killed on 4 July, 2007 along with 5 other CF members and one Afghan interpreter, when the vehicle they were traveling in struck an improvised explosive device, approximately 20km south-west of Kandahar City. 1 RCHA is based out of Shilo, Manitoba.

  • Plaque– This was the laser engraved granite plaque that we designed to mark the unfortunate passing of Capt. Francis.

It was originally displayed at the Kandahar Cenotaph from the date of his passing - and was repatriated to Canada in 2014.  

Today, it can be seen at the Afghanistan War Memorial located at National Defence Headquarters in Kanata, On.
