  • Photo of Christian Duchesne – MCpl Christian Duchesne was killed on 22 August, 2007 after the vehicle he was traveling in, a LAV III, struck a suspected mine. The incident occurred at 6:19 am Kandahar time, approximately 50 km West of Kandahar City during Operation EAGLE EYE, a joint Afghan National Security Force (ANSF) and ISAF operation aimed at further stabilizing the District of Zharey.
