Cst. Berry always wanted to be a police officer and served for a year with the Nanaimo Auxiliary Police where he won an award for outstanding service. He was a strong athlete and played soccer and badminton. Cst. Berry was posted to Vauxhall and Vermillion detachments in Alberta. He was married to Trish. Cst. Berry is buried at Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens in Nanaimo, BC.

Commemorated on Page 184 of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police Honour Roll Book.
