Prior to joining the Force, 2/Cst. Henderson served with the Royal Canadian Navy Volunteer Reserve as a stoker. He was transferred to Marine Division and assigned to the RCMP Patrol Boat CARNDUFF in Kingston, Ontario. 2/Cst. Henderson fell overboard and his body was recovered 10 days after the accident. 2/Cst. Henderson is buried at Union Cemetery in Oshawa, Ontario.

Commemorated on Page 106 of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police Honour Roll Book.
