Cst. Wilson was a police officer with the Nova Scotia Police until the RCMP absorbed them in 1932. Cst. Wilson did all of his service in Nova Scotia and was posted to Truro Detachment at the time of his death. He died of injuries received when struck by an automobile while directing traffic at the scene of a highway accident near Portaupique, Nova Scotia. He was married to Sadie and they had four daughters. Cst. Wilson is buried in Colchester County, Nova Scotia.

Commemorated on Page 85 of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police Honour Roll Book.
