Cst. Miller was a farmer and teamster before joining the Force at Regina. He was the first member to die as a result of an automobile accident. Investigation blamed the accident on a broken tie rod that caused the car to lose control. Cst. Miller is buried in Wapella, Saskatchewan.

Commemorated on Page 59 of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police Honour Roll Book.
