Cpl. Ralls died while trying to intercept escaping thieves near Foam Lake, Saskatchewan. He had a wife, Katherine and four children. Cpl. Ralls is buried in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan.

Commemorated on Page 52 of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police Honour Roll Book.
