Sub-Constable Nash was one of the original NWMP members of the march west in 1874. He was part of “C” Troop. The Assistant Commissioner reported Sub-Constable Nash as “a good man”. He was accidentally killed while on duty near Fort MacLeod, Alberta. He is buried in Union Cemetery at Fort Macleod, Alberta.

Commemorated on Page 1 of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police Honour Roll Book.
