Contay is a village in the Department of the Somme on the main road, Amiens to Arras. The CONTAY BRITISH CEMETERY lies on the left (north east) side of the road to Franvillers. There are no access problems. There is a CWGC road sign next to the church and square of the village and next to the D23, Franvillers - Corbie, sign. The distance from the CWGC sign to the Cemetery is approximately 650 metres.

Roll of Honour – Canadian National Railways - World War One Roll of Honour. Pte. Roderick Ross Jones enlisted in September 1915 with the 61st Battalion C.E.F. in Winnipeg, Manitoba. At this time he had served for two months with the 90th Winnipeg Rifles. Jones described his occupation on his military attestation form as a Boiler Maker. He was born in Roland, Manitoba. His mother, Mary Jones, was living in Winnipeg at the time he enlisted. In honoured memory.
