Son of Angus and Lena Ross, of North Bay, Ontario. Born 26 September 1896 in Gravenhurst, Ontario. Attested on 28 February 1916 joining the 123rd Canadian Pioneer Battalion (Canadian Infantry). Pte Ross is also commemorated on a memorial in Magnetawan, Ontario having made the supreme sacrifice.

Location:

The YPRES RESERVOIR CEMETERY is located to the North West of the town. From the station turn left and drive along M.Fochlaan to the roundabout, turn right and go to the next roundabout. Here turn left into M.Haiglaan along for 300 meters and turn right into M.Plumerlaan. The YPRES RESERVOIR CEMETERY is on the right hand side, approx 200 meters along.
