This memorial, erected by the McLeod Street Methodist Church Sunday School, is dedicated to the memory of the members who were killed during the First World War.

In 1961, the McLeod United and Stewarton United churches amalgamated to become McLeod-Stewarton United Church (MSUC). In 2008 the Bell Street United Church joined McLeod-Stewarton United becoming Centretown United Church.
