Remembrance Day

November 11, 2016

On November 11th, Canadians come together to honour those who have served and those who continue to serve our country to make it a safer place. Since Confederation, more than 2.3 million Canadians have answered the call of duty to serve our country. Their sacrifices, and the sacrifices of their families, for this country have benefited all of us and future generations. Canada is a great country, a prosperous country, a free country. Our veterans made it so, and our soldiers keep it that way. Their selfless dedication and courage will never go unnoticed. Thank you for giving us a Canada that remains proud and free. Together, let’s remember them.
