Candlelight Ceremony
November 10-11, 2019
12:30 - 06:00

On November 10th 12:30pm there will be a ceremony at the BC Legislature's Cenotaph to start a candlelight vigil. This unique commemoration will continue throughout the night, on the eve of Remembrance Day. A small poppy garden will be setup and candles placed and cenotaph sentries will stand guard in solemn remembrance of those British Columbians who lost their life for the cause of freedom and peace.

Everyone is welcome to bring a candle. Please note the candle should be small and contained within a glass type jar/container or use a battery type tea light in place of a real candle.

You may also wish to bring a small picture of a family member who served in the military and place the photograph in the poppy garden.

Please join us in our act of remembrance, paying tribute to those who gave up everything, not for war but for peace.
