"Alberta Proud!" is a Canadian Remembrance Torch virtual challenge that gives residents an opportunity to honour our WWII veterans and the 75th anniversary of the end of the Second World War. The Challenge: 75 remembrance torch photos—each taken at an Alberta WWII veterans' monument. Deadline: Heritage Day It's easy to participate. Create your personal remembrance torch (https://canadianremembrancetorch.ca/the-torch-be-yours/), go to your special location, hold it high, and reflect on our veterans' legacy of peace, freedom, and friendship. Your "holding it high" photo will be posted on the Torch’s website, Facebook and Twitter, and becomes part of a special remembrance tribute in November. Join Canadians from coast to coast and hold your torch high!
