Are you interested in bringing smiles to the faces of Canada's Veterans? Would you like to learn more about an interactive project you can do with your students? If so, Valentines for Vets is just the project for you.

The Valentines for Vets program helps us to appreciate and value our Veterans, not only on Remembrance Day but all year long. It is also an opportunity for educators to share with Canadian youth the accomplishments and sacrifices of our Veterans, giving them a greater understanding of Canada's proud military history.

The personal touch of hand-crafted valentines leaves a lasting impression and brings smiles to the faces of Veterans in long term care facilities across Canada. Though they may never meet people who create these valentines, some Veterans shed tears of appreciation as they read the heartfelt messages. Others display their cards for weeks after Valentine's Day.
