On this page is written the following :

Because they were unknown to the makers of this Book and so have gone unrecorded, this page has been reserved to honour the memory of all others who served in the merchant navies of Canada or Newfoundland and to honour the memory of every Canadian and Newfoundlander who served in the merchant naview of our allies, whether they died in wartime or from wounds or mortal sickness in the years which follows. "There be of them that have left a name behind them that their praises might be reported. And some there be which have no memorial: Who had perished as though they had never been... But there were merciful men: whose righteousness hath not been forgotten."
