Son of Thomas John and Nellie Kathleen Trapp, of New Westminster, British Columbia. Brother of George and Stanley Trapp.

George Leonard Trapp was killed in action on November 13, 1917 while serving with the Royal Air Naval Service. He is buried at Dozinghem Military Cemetery.

Stanley Valentine Trapp was killed in action on December 10, 1916 while serving with the Royal Air Naval Service. He is buried at the Beavual Communal Cemetery.
