His name is listed on the memorial arch at the Royal Military College of Canada.

He served with the Canadian Infantry (Eastern Ontario Regiment). He served in France during the Great War. He was Mentioned in Despatches (Nov 20 1915) by Field Marshall Sir John French for gallant and distinguished service in the field. He was wounded on May 8th, 1915 at the battle of Belle Waarde Lake and died of wounds on May 9th 1919 at No. 2 Sta Hospital. He died on May 9, 1915 at 23 years of age. He was buried in the Bailleul Communal Cemetery in Nord, France. He is commemorated on the Memorial Tablet at Upper Canada College, the Memorial Arch at the Royal Military College of Canada, and on Page 10 of the First World War Book of Remembrance.
