On June 25, 1943, a Ventura Mark II AJ186 crashed in Summerville, NS, killing all four aircrew:

Air Gunner, John Clarke Loucks, age 19,
Pilot George Cowie, age 21, 
Wireless Air Gunner Arthur Mulcahy, age 24, and 
Navigator Clifford Griffiths, age 29

The West Hants Historical Society led the memorial project and the monument was donated by Heritage Memorials Ltd, Halifax NS.  The memorial is located at the Musgrove Road Cemetery, Summerville NS.
