Location:

Hamilton Woodland Cemetery borders the Hamilton Harbour. From downtown Hamilton, follow York Boulevard past Hamilton Cemetery, across the bridge, and turn right at Plains Road. Exit Plains Road at Spring Gardens Road. Follow Spring Gardens and the cemetery will be on your left.

  • Photo of Arthur Dunstan– Dunstan, Arthur Meredith - Flight Lieutenant. Born 22nd March, 1892, at Toronto. Educated at Upper Canada College, Toronto, and Ridley College, St. Catharines, Ont. Entered the service of the Bank ~h February, 1909. Served at Paris and Brantford, Ont., and at Toronto city branches. Gazetted Flying Officer in R.C.A.F. 19th October, 1940. Flight Lieutenant 22nd April, 1943.  Attended School of Administration, Trenton, Ont., in 1940. Posted to Recruiting Centre, Halifax, and to Windsor, Ont., in 1942. Appointed Senior Adminlstrative Officer at No.6 Service Flying Trainlng School, Dunoville, Ont., in April, 1943.  Stricken by illness and died suddenly at Dunnville 17th June, 1943. Flight Lieutenant Dunstan was a member of the Royal Flying Corps in the First World War. From a memorial booklet prepared by the Canadian Bank of Commerce.
