  • Photo of John Gordon Holmes– Graduated as a Wireless Air Gunner at the Final Bombing and Gunnery School in May 1941 and arrived in England in June. His Wellinton bomber of #419 Moose Squadron was returning from a mine laying mission to Lorient, France when it crashed in bad weather.
