Location:

ROULERS COMMUNAL CEMETERY is located 20 Km north east of Ieper town centre via the villages of Zonnebeke and Moorslede (N332). Roeselare is approached via the Iepersestraat and crosses the R32 Roeselare ring road. Prior to reaching the town centre lies the left hand turning onto the Molenstraat, which continues for 80 metres to the junction with Blekerijstraat. The cemetery is located after the first left hand turning of the the Blekerijstraat.

  • The Soldiers' Tower– The Soldiers' Tower, University of Toronto was built in 1924 in memory of those lost to the University in the Great War. Carved on the Memorial Screen are the names of those lost in that struggle.

  • Inscription– Inscription in Memorial Room, Soldiers' Tower.  The carillon was installed in 1927.  Originally there were 23 bells. Alumni and friends donated funds for bells in memory of those who died in the Great War. Dedications are carved high on the walls of the Memorial Room, several of which pertain to those who studied at University College.  Bell XXIII is dedicated:  "University College Alumni Association".
