Location:

Wancourt is a village about 8 kilometres south-east of Arras. It is 2 kilometres south of the main road from Arras to Cambrai. The WANCOURT BRITISH CEMETERY is a short distance south-east of the village just off the D 35 road.

  • Roll of Honour– This is the Roll of Honour inside All Saints Church.
  • Inscription– Joseph was born in Burton on Trent, his parents were Joseph & Sarah Castledine.  He enlisted on 12th March 1915 at Toronto.  He stated that he had previously served for 9 months in the 6th Bn North Staffordshire Regt.  He gave his wife Emily Castledine who was living at 194 Fairview Avenue, West Toronto as his next of kin and worked as a Leather stitcher.
