He was born in Antwerp Belgium on May 6th 1886. Living in Detroit Mich. U.S.A. he came to Canada to enlist into the C.E.F. at London Ont. on April 23rd 1918 listing his occupation as "Fireman & Harness maker"  He died during the Spanish flu panademic of 1918-19 on Oct. 23rd 1918 at the age of 37.  He was laid to rest in the Mountain View cemetery of Vancouver BC.
