William was drafted into the C.E.F. at Vancouver BC on Nov. 11th 1917 he listed his occupation as "Miner" He died during the Spanish flu panademic of 1918-19 on Oct. 18th 1918 at the age of 22. He was laid to rest in the Mountain View Cemetery of Vancouver BC -
