  • Grave Marker– Grave of 2021272 Lance Corp. James Robert McBain who served with the 11th Garrison Regt. C.E.F. 
Born in the town of Tair in Scotland on March 27th 1889, he was drafted into the C.E.F. at Vancouver BC on Jan. 22nd 1918 listing prior military service of two months with a Highlander Regt. (Imperal Army) he listed his occupation as "Farmer" (Living in Fort Langley BC at the time)
James died during the Spanish flu panademic of 1918-19 on Oct. 18th 1918 at the age of 30.  He was laid to rest in the Mountain View cemetery of Vancouver BC.
