  • Grave Marker– Grave of 15597 Pvt. Ernest William Walcroft who served in the Fort Garry Horse Regt. C.E.F.  Born in London England on Nov. 4th 1874.  Husband of Mary E. Walcroft of South Vancouver.
He enlisted into the Canadian Cavalry Depot at Shorncliffe England on Nov. 20th 1915.  He listed prior military service of 12 years with the Royal North Lancs Regt. He listed his occupation as "Miner"  Ernest died at Vancouver BC on July 12th 1920 at the age of 45. He was laid to rest in the Mountain View cemetery of Vancouver BC.
