"Husband of Mrs. Phyllis Ellaine Alford. Son of Mr. Geoffry Daniel Alford and Mrs. Ruby Hubbard (nee Henderson) Alford, Red Deer, Alberta. He also served in the Second World War (M-1769).

YOKOHAMA WAR CEMETERY is 9 kilometres west of the city on Yuenchi-Dori, Hodogaya Ward, which branches left off the old Tokkaido highway. The nearest railway station is Hodogaya, 5 kilometres to the north on the JNR line but the cemetery is easily reached by bus from Yokohama station.

It was erected IN LOVING MEMORY OF THE CANADIANS WHO DIED IN SERVICE DURING THE KOREAN WAR 1950-1953 AND ON KOREAN PEACE KEEPING DUTIES, 1953-1957. Private Alford died on September 27, 1951 and is buried in the YOKOHAMA WAR CEMETERY in Japan.
