Newspaper clipping – newspaper clipping The Calgary Herald June 5, 1916 Headlines: "Fearful Death Toll Among Canadian Officers at the Ypres Front is Reported" "The Flag is Flying at Half-Mast The flag is flying at half-mast at Rideau Hall for Lieut. Col. Buller of the Princess Patricia's. He was an aide at Rideau Hall when the war broke out and joined the Princess Patricia's in Ottawa as adjutant. On the death of Col. Farquhar early in the war, he was promoted to commander. He was severely wounded in one of the great stands made by his famous regiment but later recovered and returned to his battalion."

Newspaper clipping – London Free Press According to this article, Col. Buller was buried in the same grave as his former commanding officer, Col. Farquhar.

Newspaper Clipping – The Calgary Herald June 5, 1916 The official list dated June 5, 1916 gives the name of Lieut. Col. Buller along with 12 other officers killed, 58 wounded and 27 missing in the battle between Ypres and Hooge on June 2nd and 3rd.
