Location:

Noeux-les-Mines is a town 6 kilometres south of Bethune on the main road to Arras. The Communal Cemetery is on the northern side of the town, on the south-east side of the road to Labourse.

  • Press Clipping– The Moore family lost two sons in the first World War.  Sgt. George Moore, 5433, Canadian Engineers, died on June 30th, 1916. He enlisted at Valcartier Camp, Quebec, on September 23rd, 1914.  Gunner Herbert Walter Moore, 83259, signed his military attestation on May 3rd, 1915 in Toronto. He died on August 15th, 1917.
