Location:

Etaples is a town about 27 kilometres south of Boulogne. The Etaples Military Cemetery is to the north of the town, on the west side of the road to Boulogne.

  • Memorabilia– My great Grandfather told me his brother Frank Chamberlain was mortally wounded by artillery in the attack on Tilloy near Cambrai on Oct 8th 1918, was evacuated and died of wounds on 22 October.  These items were sent home by his nurse.  L to R - Collar insignia, shoulder title, cap badge, Meerchaum pipe with case, and another collar insignia.
  • Gravemarker– Grave marker of Frank David Chamberlain, PTE. 3106616, Coy C, 58th Battalion Canadian Infantry (Central Ontario).  Frank is buried in the military cemetery in Etaples, France - Plot LXVII. K. 36.  Photo taken in 2000.
