Location:

Aubigny Communal Cemetery is south of the village of Aubigny-en-Artois and the Cemetery Extension is behind it. The village of Aubigny-en-Artois is approximately 15 kilometres north-west of Arras on the road to St. Pol. After turning into the village from the N.39 on the D.75, the Cemetery lies south on a road leading from the centre of the village.

  • Commemorative Certificate– Sergent Barnie’s son, Sergeant Donald George Barnie (RCAF Wireless Operator/Air Gunner) died on November 10, 1942 aged 26, almost 26 years to the day after his father’s death, when a Hampden bomber from #50 Operational Training Unit in Scotland of which he was a crew member crashed near Turnberry Scotland killing all on board.  The Commemorative Certificate pictured is from the Commonwealth War Graves Commission website.
