Military Cross, London Gazette No. 30204 dated 26 July 1917 "Conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty. He led his company in the most gallant manner and recaptured his objective which he succeeded consolidating. He set a fine example for his men" Mentioned in Despatches, London Gazette No. 30706 dated 25 May 1918. Captain earned his Military Cross while serving with the Infantry and Mentioned in despatches while a member of the Royal Canadian Regiment.

Location:

Orange Hill Cemetery lies due north of Tilloy les Mofflaines, a village in the Pas-de-Calais Department of France, and 3 kilometres south-east of Arras along the D939 road. From Tilloy les Mofflaines, take the D939 towards Cambrai until you come to a roundabout with a junction for the D37 towards Feuchy. Follow this road for 2 kilometres, then take a track to the east towards the cemetery.
